Gastro Health has welcomed Dr. Amber Charoen to its Kennewick, WA team, who is one of the few women gastroenterologists in the Columbia Basin, reports the Tri-Cities Area Journal of Business.
Charoen completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Rhode Island Hospital through Brown University in Providence, one of only a few centers in the U.S. that provides training specific to women’s gastrointestinal medicine.
In addition to treating patients at Tri-Cities Endoscopy Center, she also teaches at Washington State University Tri-Cities and often gives talks to students in the Trios Health medical residency program.
Charoen expressed excitement for the future leadership roles that are coming her way at Tri-Cities Endoscopy Center and through Gastro Health as the local clinic grows.
