Alan Oliver has been named the new Chief Executive Officer of Gastro Health, a medical group made up of physicians and advanced practitioners specializing in the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders, nutrition, and digestive health.
“Alan knows what needs to be done to keep Gastro Health moving forward. He understands our culture and how we can perform better,” said David Weiss, MD, a board member. “We’re excited for the future of Gastro Health with Alan leading us and look forward to achieving more together.”
Alan has been Interim CEO and Chief Operating Officer (COO) since May 2024. He joined Gastro Health in May 2022 as COO. In the last two and a half years, Alan has managed important parts of the business and worked on strategies to improve operations and promote growth.

Gastro Health operates in seven states—Florida, Alabama, Washington, Virginia, Ohio, Maryland, and Massachusetts—with more than 400 physicians and 150 locations that include medical offices, infusion centers, imaging services, and a specialty pharmacy. Gastro Health also owns and runs endoscopy centers in five of the seven states and provides pathology and anesthesia services.
